Sleep is Not a Waste of Time

The 4 Stages of Sleep (Sleep Architecture)
Sleep cycles every 90 minutes. It repeats Light Sleep → Deep Sleep (Physical Recovery) → Dream Sleep (REM, Emotional & Memory Processing).
- ** The deepest ‘Slow Wave Sleep’ occurs in the early part of sleep. Growth hormones are released and cells regenerate. Thus, you must be asleep between 11 PM and 2 AM.
- ** Alcohol acts as a sedative to help you fall asleep fast, but it destroys sleep architecture, disturbing both deep sleep and REM sleep. You need recovery sleep, not a recovery drink.
