What Is IELTS?
IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is co-owned by British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia, and Cambridge Assessment English. Accepted by more than 11,000 organizations in over 140 countries, IELTS is the world’s most widely taken English proficiency test.

IELTS Academic Writing Tasks
Task 1 (20 min, min 150 words)
Describe a graph, chart, diagram, map, or process objectively. Rule: No personal opinion — report and summarize data only.
Task 2 (40 min, min 250 words)
Write an essay on a given argument or issue. Important: Task 2 carries more weight — approximately 2/3 of the Writing score.
