International age starts at 0 at birth and adds a year each birthday. Counting age starts at 1 at birth and adds a year every January 1 (Korean tradition).
What is the 2023 unification?+
Since June 28, 2023, Korea's official ages use the international (만) age; absent a note, age means international age.
What is year age?+
Current year minus birth year; used in some laws (military service, youth protection).
